Frequently asked questions

What firms usually want to know.

Straight answers about getting started, how the work gets done, pricing, data security, and whether the Desk is a fit for your firm.

Getting started

After you sign the agreement, you upload a basic client list — we only need seven fields to run the book scan. Our team returns a written engagement list showing which clients are likely matches and for which programs.

You review the list and decide which clients to approach. Once you give the go-ahead, our network handles the study, documentation, and filing support. You sign the return and keep the client relationship; we work behind your firm's name.

How the work happens

You do. Every engagement arrives with the substantiation file behind the position.

Money

Payout timing depends on the program and how quickly the credit or refund is processed. Some programs move faster than others, and IRS processing times vary. We can share typical ranges during your intro call once we know which programs fit your book.

Pricing & fees

The fees pay for your firm's own Desk: a white-labeled portal, CRM integration, a scan of your whole book, a named account manager and staff training. That's what lets you keep the client and sign the return, instead of handing the client to a national provider. The year-one fee guarantee covers the gap if the Desk earns you less than you paid in year one.

Data & trust

Yes. Client documents come through secure, firm-branded upload links. Your clients do not create accounts or log in. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to what the engagement requires, and we don't sell client information.

A full Security & Compliance overview is coming soon. If you need specific documentation for your risk review, email us and we'll provide it.

Fit

The Desk is priced by the size of your business-client book: Solo Preparers (1–100 business clients), Small Tax Offices (101–300), and Established Tax/CPA Firms (301–600). If you have more than 600 business clients, the Build to Suit option is designed for you.
